Start weight, current weight – My starting weight was 70 kg in 2015, currently 91 kg in 2019.
What are you current training goals – My current Training goal is to focus on putting on as much muscle mass as possible before I compete again, hopefully in 2020.
What was your life like before iFitness247? My life before fitness was just going to school and just didn’t really have the confidence that I do know.
What does your life look like now? My life now is great thanks to fitness, I have a confidence with myself that I didn’t before and fitness has just opened different pathways and doors for me that I didn’t know I could achieve.
What motivates you to be active everyday – I’m motivated by trying to improve and better myself each day and by having short and long term goals that I have written up on a board to look at every day.
What’s been the hardest part during your transformation – The hardest part was actually doing my competition prep in 2017. It was hard both mentally and physically. Mentally because you’re not having all the nice tasting foods that you love so much and you start to get massive cravings for them, especially when you get a few weeks out. It was physically hard, just getting up and going to do fasted cardio in the early hours of the morning, and having to return in the afternoon for a weights session while in a calorie deficit.
What’s been the easiest part during your transformation – The easiest part of the transformation is establishing a flow of routine to which going to the gym has become part of my daily routine.
Have you ever had a personal trainer/help – At the start of my fitness journey I was lucky enough to be friends with a personal trainer who showed me ‘the ropes’ and taught me the basics and fundamentals of lifting weights.
What do you like about iFitness247 clubs – The things I like about the iFitness247 clubs are the friendly staff who always greet you when you come in and farewell you when you leave. I also like the fact that they do have a 4 locations around Darwin which makes it easier to get to before/after work. My favourite thing about the Coolalinga iFitness is how big and spacious it is, no matter how busy it is, there is always a machine.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about starting a fitness journey – The advice I would give to someone who’s starting their fitness journey is to stay patient and remain consistent. Remember it’s a marathon not a sprint.
